Google Search for Mobile Phone Users Now Includes Mobile App Results

Google reported Google Search for mobile now includes mobile app results. If you go to Google.com on your Android-powered device or Iphone and search for an app, you'll see special links and content at the top of the search results.

You are able to tap these links to go directly to the app’s Android Market or iPhone App Store page. You can even get a quick look at some of the app’s basic details including the price, rating, and publisher.

Those results will surface when your search pertains to a cell phone application and relevant, well-rated apps are found. For instance, try searching for download shazam on your Android-powered device or bank of america app on your iPhone.

Mobile phone app search results are available in the united states, with additional countries and devices planned for the future.

Google Maps Has Better Biking Direction On Blackberry

Biking cyclist who use Google Maps for their biking direction can now have an even better biking direction if they happen to have a blackberry. Google recently released an update to the Google Maps app for Blackberry and the app has much better options and looks better compared even to the android version.

The update introduced a couple of things that offers better biking direct like refreshing the search results list, adding images, ratings and some welcome quick link buttons to get other directions or place a phone call to businesses. There is also an option to email or text directions.

Blackberry users can download the Google Maps app by going to the hyperlink m.google.com/maps on their mobile devices.

Open source media player VLC, has released a new version of their media player now with support for Google’s WebM project. The new VLC 1.1.0-rc media player.

AT&T And LG To Show The Mobile TV Capable LG Vu Plus

LG Mobile TV

AT&T and LG will be unveiling an LG phone which will be mobile TV capable. The phone looks like it is good spec wise and has a slide out qwerty keypad. According to press release the phone will be available June 6 for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate for a new 2 year contract. The Mobile TV will also cost an additional $9.99.

MSI To Launch Tablet Computer

MSI has just announced that they have been interested in launching a tablet computer right away but that the demand for tablet computer isn’t really at its best right now and that it will take couple of months more when there are more applications and the operating systems are ready to more advanced tasks than just some big smart phones.

According to conversation with MSI chairman, Joseph Hsu, the tablet will have an Intel Atom Z-series processor, a multi-touch display, and run Windows 7. Mr Hsu also also said they will be intrested in released 2-3 new models per year off their upcoming netbooks at different computing events including Computex next week.

4th Generation iPhone May Be Coming To Sprint

We have been talking about a CDMA iPhone version for Verizon for a while but a Best Buy employ said he confirmed that Sprint may be shipping out the next generation iPhone or iPhone 4G sometime sooner or later.
